Spring Market Will be HOT!

Spring Market Will be HOT!

The Spring Market has begun and it's only December 30, 2015! Single family homes that look like a magazine (re: Better Homes and Gardens) are going fast especially those under $250,000! That's the price point buyers are looking for right now.

Thinking of Listing? Be ready! It's a seller's market but you need to freshen up the paint, replace that worn carpeting/flooring, replace old and dated appliances/light fixtures, and make those repairs. Most importantly, CLEAN (like deep clean).  Dirty houses do not show well.  And then list with me and I'll bring my super stager along to make your house really shine in the pictures!

Planning to Buy?  You need to be preapproved!  You don't go to the grocery store without your wallet and you need to have your ducks in a row to buy a house.  You will lose out on a great house if you are not preapproved (not necessarily the same as prequalified) because I guarantee another buyer will love the house too and they will be preapproved.   I only recommend the best local lenders so contact me and I can make the introduction!

16" of snow! We Win!

Grayslake received 16 inches of snow, topping the charts and breaking records!  As my friend said, "We're #1!  We're #1!  We're #1!"  Chicago set a new weather record for the heaviest snowfall during a single storm in November.  Officially, O'Hare recorded 11.2 inches but Grayslake recorded 16 inches!  My kids and Maizy the super dog were thrilled!  And so was my husband since we finally have a snowblower!   Grayslake looks gorgeous covered with snow!

Why Neighbors LOVE Chesapeake Farms

One of my neighbors posted this and gave me permission to share it.  It's a perfect example of why Grayslake and Chesapeake Farms is a great place to live!

"It's thanksgiving season and in the spirit I just wanted to say thanks to this neighborhood for being everything I ever dreamed and more! We just moved here in August and I already feel more love and more at home than in the last three places I have lived. A selfless gentleman just brought over his snow plow to help my husband clear the drive. My wonderful neighbors helped us with the yard and decorated our house as we prepared to bring home our baby. Another welcomed us with a mum and yet another brought us a chili feast to make sure we ate while feeding baby. We are so blessed and so lucky to have landed here... I am astounded that neighborhoods and neighbors like you all still exist! I hope over the years I can be as good a neighbor back! Much thanks!!!"
